Maryland judge killed in his driveway after custody trial

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – A major manhunt is underway in Maryland after a judge was shot and killed outside his own home.

District Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson was shot dead in his driveway while his wife and son were inside.

According to police, Judge Wilkinson was targeted by 49-year-old Predro Argote. Judge Wilkinson was overseeing Argote’s custody case that day, in which he awarded his ex-wife custody of Argote’s children.

After the shooting, law enforcement quickly took action to protect other judges.
