Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack continued to work together on Flip or Flop after their divorce.

Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa got married in 2009 and have two children together. Her reality show Flip or Flop first aired on HGTV in 2013 and lasted 10 seasons, even after the couple’s divorce in 2018.

Though Haack and El Moussa tried to come together for their kids and the cameras, there was at least one explosive argument on set. In July 2021, TMZ reported that El Moussa lashed out at his ex-wife, comparing her to his new partner, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young, and saying the Netflix star was “hotter and richer” than his ex.

El Moussa also reportedly boasted about “making” Haack, calling her a “washy loser.” He said he “wins” and enjoyed watching her fail. He reportedly added that “the world knows” his ex was “insane.”

Tarek El Moussa explained why he didn’t want child support from Christina Haack after their divorce

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack not only fought on set, but also fell out in their divorce court documents. ET reported in August 2017 that both partners were filing for spousal support, while Haack asked El Moussa to pay her legal fees. El Moussa wanted the court to end his ex’s alimony payments. However, they did agree on one thing: both partners sought joint legal and physical custody of their two children.

El Moussa filed his divorce petition in January 2017, including his request for spousal support. But in February, he told ET that he didn’t even want child support from his ex.

“I just ticked a box, at this point I don’t have to seek child support,” El Moussa said. “I mean, we do everything together.”

The ‘Christina on the Coast’ star revealed the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has helped bring the family together

Though they’ve had some rocky moments, Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa have both moved on and appear to be peaceful co-parents.

Haack told People in April 2020 that the coronavirus pandemic helped get her family on the same page.

“Tarek and I broke up four years ago. That’s a long time,” the Christina on the Coast star explained. “In difficult times like these, we’re suddenly a completely unified front, speaking and emailing several times a day.”

That same month, Haack gave Us Weekly an example of how she and El Moussa were co-parents amid the pandemic.

“We’re just making sure we’re on the same page,” she said. “I went over and showed them how we homeschool because I had them the first few days. We’re just making sure we’re helping each other.”
